History
HAV was formed back in 1982,on the 9th February of that year. We formed the company with the purpose of wholesaling music related products. Blank Media, Headphones, Audio Leads and Cables, Headphones etc... We formed a partnership with Agfa in 1982 for the distribution of their Audio and Video Cassettes which was to last for nearly 9 years. In that period Agfa was the number one selling media brand in the market. In 1990 we teamed up with Memorex and enjoyed great success winning European Distributor of the year,4 years in succession. In 1999,we launched the Mr Data brand into the Irish market and over the past 8 years Mr Data was the number 1 selling Optical Media brand of choice.
Yes we have had many successes marketing and distributing in the Irish Market over the years and this year we have decided to adapt to the new challenges facing us. Lets not go there, Suffice to say with the Music Industry going through many changes, retail contracting and consumer demand low HAV have launched a new range of product geared towards the changing market. We have focused on Products that we hope are appealing and price driven to offer the best value and choice. It also reflects our commitment to the Trade and the Country.
We are staying the course and I know that things can only get better with hard work and dedication. We have moved, product wise in a few different directions, offering a varied range of what we hope, will be must have products to consumers. Hopefully in 2010, we will have your support and in turn, you can depend on us to deliver great products and a high level of service to you, the customer.
Product range
Our product range this Season is hopefully interesting and varied. We have launched a range of Double CDS from Country and Western, Pop, Reggae and Easy listening at a value retail price, also a really varied range of DVDS covering Action, Comedy, Horror, Martial Arts, Kids etc... From Sky, covering The History Channel, National Geography, Discovery and Crime we will have Box sets of all the popular series.Deadliest Catch, Crusades, Sharks, I love my JCB etc... In August we plan to launch the Book and DVD Sets for Christmas, with Titles such as Question of Sport, Top Gear, Cheryl Cole and Planet Golf, to name a few. Also a Limited edition of Newspaper and DVD Set of Elvis, JFK, Titanic and Man on the Moon with the original Newspaper of the day.
Our Irish penny Watches have proved a great success and we have just added the Pocket watch in Gold and Bronze. They Retail at 49.99 Nationwide. We intend to add watches covering all the Premier League Clubs in the Autumn and we have acquired the Marvel license to produce Watches and Tee Shirts, Box Sets of Spiderman, Wolverine and the Hulk for Christmas.
HAV have been appointed sole distributors for SKINS. (Condoms).They come in a 12pk and a 4pk and will be presented in a stunning counter POS stand and retailing at half the price of the main brand. They are NHS approved and come in 6 varieties.
We are once again launching a Optical Media range and accessories. CDR 80,DVD-R and DVD+R and Rewritable, Blue Ray and Dual Layer Media. There will be a range of 9 products in the assortment under the "Xlayer" brand. Also there will be Wallets, Plastic and Paper Sleeves and Empty CD and DVD Jewel Cases in Singles and Doubles.
Games and Puzzles will be catered for by our new partner Cheatwell Games, from Horse Racing Nights, Jumbo Calculators, Ear Buds,Kites,Y0-Y0,Puzzles and a whole range of Home Entertainment Products. Take a look at the range, its worth it.
